Helicobacter Pylori (H.Pylori) - A Case Study 'Angelina'.

Angelina* came to  me with a few complaints; bloating, indigestion and fatigue. Every time she ate something she would bloat and her stomach would distend. It was very uncomfortable for her and was affecting her confidence and general feeling of wellness.

We decided to do some functional testing to dig a bit deeper and get some answers including a PCR, CDSA and H.pylori.   The results showed the following the following irregularities:

  • Vegetable fibres were not being broken down;

  • Elevated triglycerides in stool;

  • Decreased Short Chain Fatty Acids (SCFA);

  • Low Lactobacilli in the gut; and

  • An abundance of H.Pylori

These findings are consistent with:

  • ‘Leaky gut’ syndrome;

  • Foods not being broken down properly;

  • Reduced good bacteria; and

  • An infection.

To restore healthy function in Angelina, and rectify the above issues, we needed to eradicate the H.Pylori while supporting the other systems that are being placed under stress.

What is H.Pylori…

It’s a bacteria found living in the intestinal tract of the upper GI tract as well as the liver. It’s strongly associated with ulcers, gastritis, duodenitis and stomach cancer. It’s a persistent bacterium and is able to locally raise the ph from 2 to a more biocompatible 6 or 7 is so it can thrive.

Symptoms from H.Pylori could be:

  • Migraines;

  • Constipation;

  • Bloating and pain;

  • Indigestion;

  • Nausea;

  • Acne;

  • Undigested foods;

  • Fatigue;

  • Skin problems;

  • Chronic dysfunction; and

  • Reflux/heartburn.

Frighteningly however, some people don't get any symptoms at all but it still causes chronic inflammation which can increase the risk of gastric ulcers and stomach cancers.  About 50% of the population worldwide have h.pylori, it is only a problem if there is an overgrowth.

We put Angelina is on a 90 day natural healing protocol that has been individualised for her based on her main complaints and test results, in addition to her medical history, genetic potential, environment and lifestyle. The protocol is supporting her adrenals, regaining the bacteria balance in her gut, increasing her digestive enzymes and eradicating H.pylori with bio-botanicals.

We’ll retest in 90 days, hoping to find more friends than foes…
